Remote Access Projects
No Cost phone Consultation
The first step of any project is to help us understand your specific project and needs. We can answer questions and provide initial recommendations. Give us a call or email to discuss.
Site visit and Consultation
Continuing from the initial consultation, this would include a more in depth discussion of the project and timeline. Setting up a site visit is a crucial step that allows us to determine the clients vision and establish the character of the property. During this visit, an inventory and assessment of existing trail or infrastructure can be completed. This will allow us to to better map the property’s terrain, building constraints, and points of interest.
Trail design and layout
Once a concept plan is in place more in-depth trail layout can begin. Working from our concept maps and feedback from clients we can flag specific trail corridors. We strive to develop trails that flow with the natural terrain and provide a unique experience to users. Along with flagging on the ground, GIS map and GPS data of the new trail routes will be developed along with more specific cost estimates.
NEW trail Construction
This is our specialty! We have experience in all types of trail building techniques from narrow, hand-built singletrack to high impact, large scale, machine-built trails. We use construction techniques that utilize the native soils and stone to build sustainable trails. This includes excavation, stone work, blasting, water management and bridge construction. We own the necessary equipment from masonry hammers to mini excavators to tackle any project.
Existing Trail maintenance AND REPAIRS
Although new trail construction is exciting, utilization and improvement of existing trail corridors is often a valuable, cost-effective option. Trail improvements and reroutes of any scale and budget can be designed and implemented. In addition to construction improvements, continual maintenance is an important consideration. We can work with clients to develop long term maintenance plans for trail networks.
Concept Plan and Feasibility Study
After an initial site visit, we can provide our feedback and recommendations about the project and property. Concept planning is a collaborative process with the landowner and other involved parties. This plan would include maps identifying potential trail corridors and other significant features/constraints of the property along with rough cost and time estimates for construction.
